Jelly Roll Says He And Pat McAfee Didn’t Have Any Business At WrestleMania 42

Jelly Roll gives both take on his involvement
To close WrestleMania Saturday, Pat McAfee accompanied Randy Orton to the ring for his match with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. However, after the pair launched a pre-match attack on ‘The American Nightmare’, Jelly Roll emerged to even the odds. Before the bell had sounded to begin the title match, the music star leapt from one announce table to the other to deliver an elbow drop to the former NFL punter, writing him out of at least the first part of the main event. Now, Jelly Roll has looked back on the celebrity involvement on WrestleMania 42’s opening night.
Speaking on his YouTube vlog, Jelly Roll said neither he nor Pat McAfee had any business at WrestleMania 42.
“I had one goal [at WrestleMania] and I kind of succeeded. Pat, I love you, man. Neither one of us had any business here. I say we get back to what we’re good at, even though I’m not actually really good at anything. But you’re great at something, so go do it.”

Given that Rhodes came out on top at WrestleMania, McAfee must now leave the professional wrestling business for good, though some remain skeptical over whether he’ll stick to his promise. Regardless, even if the former RAW commentator decides to go back on his word, the RKO he took at the hands of his supposed ally calls into question whether a future McAfee appearance would still be tied with Randy Orton.
As for Jelly Roll, the star’s involvement in the match stemmed from his previous on-screen friendship with Randy Orton. In his first the match, the artist teamed with ‘The Viper’ in a loss to Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre, giving WWE a platform to use him as part of the WrestleMania 42 storyline.
Although Cody Rhodes emerged from the match with his gold, the champion was noticeably bruised coming out of WrestleMania, leading to fears over the future of the Undisputed WWE Championship. For the latest on Rhodes’ status following his eye injury, you can click here.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on WrestleMania Saturday’s main event as soon as we hear more.
