The current and only two time AEW World Champion, former Shield member & founding Blackpool Combat Club member, Jon Moxley has given his thoughts on the claim that he continues to be the worst talent in each of his stables.

In the build to the unification bout between CM Punk and Jon Moxley, CM Punk fired off on Moxley accusing him of always being the third best guy in his group, slighting Mox for his time in WWE as a member of The Shield alongside Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns.

Jon Moxley was a recent guest on his home state’s Cincy 360 show, where he elaborated on what he enjoys about being in a position to learn from his faction mates. The AEW World Champion spoke about William Regal, Bryan Danielson, and Claudio Castagnoli, putting Regal over as his mentor at this point in his life, and calling the later two two of the best wrestlers in the entire world.

“CM Punk said ‘oh you’re the third best guy in your group. [referencing The Shield.] It’s actually an awesome situation to be the worst guy in your group because I get to learn from those guys… I want to be around people that are better than me. Iron sharpens iron, and I want to keep getting better… If you don’t get any better, you’re going to regress because the world is going to pass you by.”
