Brian Cage recently had the one year option on his AEW contract activated. This indeed came as a surprise to many fans. Not because Brian Cage is a bad performer or anything, he’s actually very good. But more because he has not been used on TV much at all recently, and has also been taking his fair share of Independent bookings.
The news on Brian Cage staying with All Elite for another years was reported by Fightful Select. Now they have added a small update.
“There was a backstage locker room (at Revolution) with Kenny Omega’s name on it. However, he’s still been handling EVP duties during his time off.
In fact, we’re told that he actually informed Brian Cage of AEW exercising his contract option.”
