AEW’s traditional ‘Face Of The Revolution’ ladder match took place on the March 1 edition of Dynamite. It featured a collection of the company’s most promising performers, with many awe-inspiring moments which we’ve come to expect from the yearly ladder match. But, one star who particularly stood out was Kommander.
The 24-year-old luchador has been wrestling with Lucha Libre AAA since 2019 and, when he appeared on AEW this past week, many wondered what the future holds for the star.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer, Dave Meltzer has revealed that the star was not under contract with All Elite Wrestling when on the show. In fact, he’s still associated with the KAOZ promotion in Mexico.
“Komander, who debuted on Dynamite in the ladder match with no buildup at all, was not under contract when put on the show and is very much on WWE radar. Komander actually is under contract with the KAOZ promotion in Mexico and not sure how that would impact his ability to actually sign with WWE or AEW”

Many were impressed with Kommander’s outing on Dynamite, with WWE keeping tabs on the lucha star. Whether he’ll return to AEW in the near future remains to be seen.
It was also added by Meltzer that Tony Khan wanted AAA Mega Champiom, El Hijo del Vikingo to be a part of the Ladder match, but he wasn’t available.
Tony Khan wanted El Hijo de Vikingo to debut in the ladder match but he wasn’t available so the office asked for Komander.

As always, we’ll aim to update you on what’s next for Kommander as soon as we hear more.
