Adam Cole has been out of in-ring action since the AEW & NJPW joint event, Forbidden Door this past Summer. Now a few months removed from the show, many fans are wondering when they can expect to see Cole back in action.

Adam Cole reportedly suffered a concussion during the show, during his match for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship vs Jay White, Kazuchika Okada & Hangman Adam Page. Adam Cole’s presence has certainly been missed in AEW in recent months, especially since the All Out PPV with The Elite & CM Punk all out of action.

In somewhat of an update on his status, Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio was asked about what the current status of Adam Cole’s injury was, and this was the only update he could provide:

“I mean, it’s a concussion, it’s bad concussion, real bad concussion. But I have not heard, I don’t know. He’ll be back when he’s cleared. It could be tomorrow and it could be never, you know what I mean?”

– Dave Meltzer

Hopefully the injury is healing well and Adam Cole is back on AEW TV sooner rather than later as he’s for sure one of their biggest stars and there is still plenty of AEW talent that he could be mixing it up with in the ring.
