The Main Event Mafia are set to reunite in Minneapolis.

Forming in October 2006, TNA’s Main Event Mafia brought together veterans of the locker room who wanted to maintain their position on top of the industry. Initially consisting of Kurt Angle, Sting, Kevin Nash, and Booker T, the group added Scott Steiner to its ranks around a week after its inception, with Christian Cage and Samoa Joe also joining the “MEM” down the line. Now, it seems five members of the Main Event Mafia are set for a one-off reunion.

According to an announcement from WrestleCon’s X account on Monday, the five main members from the Main Event Mafia, Booker T, Kevin Nash, Kurt Angle, Scott Steiner, and “The Icon” Sting, will come together for one day only to take group photos with fans in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Friday, July 31st.

While the Main Event Mafia only lasted 364 days in its original configuration, they made an undeniable mark on TNA Wrestling. From late 2008 to late 2009, both Sting and Kurt Angle each reigned as TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Booker T and Kevin Nash had a 91-day reign with the TNA World Tag Team Title, and Samoa Joe won the X-Division Championship,

Famously, Booker T would also create the TNA Legends Championship on the same day the faction was formed, bringing an unsanctioned belt to the company in the same style as ECW and AEW’s FTW Championship.

With the Main Event Mafia threatening to rule over TNA, one of the stars who stood against them as part of the “Front Line” was AJ Styles. “The Phenomenal One” had a legendary in-ring career, going from TNA to New Japan Pro Wrestling before heading to WWE, and he now finds himself in a backstage role. Recently, Styles opened up on whether he misses being an active wrestler. You can read more about that here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the lineup for WrestleCon as soon as we hear more.
