Mark Davis vs. Dezmond Xavier Set For Ring of Honor Special Tomorrow
The AEW National Championship will be defended on Ring of Honor tomorrow.
On the ‘Fairway To Hell’ edition of Collision, Mark Davis put Jack Perry away to win AEW National Championship. Since then, the Australian has notched seven defences of the title, including trips to Revolution Pro Wrestling in the UK, and fans now know when to next expect the Don Callis Family member to put his gold on the line.
A special episode of ROH, dubbed ‘Beantown Beatdown’, will air tomorrow night, and within its match lineup will be a bout for the AEW National Championship, with champion Mark Davis going up against Rascalz member Dezmond Xavier.
For those unaware, AEW was in Boston last week for both Dynamite and Collision, and it now seems they opted to film matches for Ring of Honor while stopping by the MGM Music Hall. Thus far, Komander vs. Alan Angels has also been announced for the ROH show, airing on the promotion’s YouTube channel.
With regard to his reign, Mark Davis impressed many with his performances as National Champion, putting on numerous incredible matches for the belt including a recent defence against ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey which was widely praised.
This match will also serve as a tune-up match for his upcoming pay-per-view title defence at AEW Redemption which will see Andrade El Idolo challenging for the National Championship on July 26th.
