Sami Callihan Reportedly Working For AEW On A Trial Basis

Sami Callihan is working on a trial basis as a producer for All Elite Wrestling.
Last week, BodySlam reported that Sami Callihan had been working backstage as a producer at the previous three episodes of AEW Dynamite following his recent departure from TNA Wrestling, although it was claimed that he had yet to sign a contract with the company.
Fightful Select has now provided further insight into the situation, confirming that Callihan has indeed been working backstage for All Elite Wrestling and is believed to be doing so on a trial basis.
“Callihan has been working on the production side of things after being let go by TNA Wrestling earlier this year. We’re told it has been on a trial basis and it could end up leading to more if things go well.”

Callihan made his name on the independent wrestling scene through promotions such as CZW, PWG, and EVOLVE before signing with TNA Wrestling in 2017, where he went on to capture the Impact World Championship in October 2019.
Now 38, Sami Callihan retired from in-ring competition in August 2025 and had been serving as TNA Wrestling’s Director of Live Events, while also continuing to run Pro Wrestling REVOLVER, prior to his release.
