WWE Hall of Famer and former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry currenly resides in All Elite Wrestling, both as a commentator and a talent scout.

Henry’s keen eye for talent led to both the current WWE Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair and AEW’s TBS Champion Jade Cargill receiving tryouts with WWE, leading both down the paths they now walk today.

Speaking with Sportskeeda, the ‘World’s Strongest Man’ had nothing but praise for the pair, proclaiming them both to be the future of the business.

I think both will [be the future of professional wrestling]. I mean you have one that has main-evented WrestleMania already, the biggest wrestling spectacle in the world. And then you have another one that is almost 30 wins in a row and is on pace to be one of the greatest female wrestlers of all time. So I think I’m doing pretty good when I pick. So it’s the same with the men. There are some guys that I have looked at, and I knew they would be special, and they are. And that is having a good eye for talent but also the work ethic. Like I have to see you work like you don’t have talent. That is what I require, and the people have listened.”

Belair is set to defend her Raw Women’s Championship against Sonya Deville at the upcoming Wrestlemania Backlash event, whilst Cargill has her sights set on her impending clash with Marina Shafir, as she defends her TBS Champship on the April 22nd edition of AEW Rampage.

Also the interview, Henry was asked about which member of the AEW roster he considers to be underrated, with the 25+ year veteran naming another member of the women’s division as his choice.

“Underrated? I think Serena Deeb. [She] is one of the most excellent wrestlers, not just male or female, but one of the most excellent wrestlers in the company. I don’t think she gets enough credit for how good she is,”

-Mark Henry

Mark Henry has made no secrets of his desire to eventually step back into the ring as part of AEW, and when asked which names he could envision himself competing against in the fledgling promotion, Henry highlighted Wardlow, MJF, and Ricky Starks as three competitors he’d like to face. Henry praised the trios immense talent, noting that each of them can work with anybody to produce an excellent match.

Whilst nothing yet is known regarding future plans for Henry to return to the ring, we hope that the Hall of Famer continues his excellent work as talent scout and can keep providing the wrestling industry with more stars of the future.
