WWE Matt Riddle Released

There are reportedly no shortage of suitors for Matt Riddle’s services.

Earlier this month, Matt Riddle revealed that he was no longer with WWE following the latest round of releases. Dave Meltzer had previously noted that, following his WWE exit, Riddle was garnering interest from MMA promotions in an attempt to tempt him back into the sport, but it now appears as though the 37-year-old also has plenty of options should he wish to continue his wrestling career.

Within the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Meltzer noted that “most pro wrestling companies of any size” are interested in signing the former United States Champion, whilst MMA organisations, including the PFL and BKFC are also interested in him.

“Since Matt Riddle’s WWE Release, there has been interest by a number of companies in both pro wrestling & MMA. Most pro wrestling companies of any size immediately expressed interest, and in MMA, both PFL and Bare Knuckle Fighting had expressed interest.”

Riddle’s talents both inside the squared circle and the octagon are unquestionable, but with numerous reports citing backstage difficulties during his time with WWE, it’ll be interesting to see where he eventually lands now that he’s on the free agent market.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the future of Matt Riddle as soon as we hear more.
