A new development has been revealed regarding Matt Riddle’s WWE status, who was reportedly suspended in December after failing a drug test.

Matt Riddle was attacked by Solo Sikoa on the December 5 episode of Raw, knocking him off television for what WWE termed six weeks at the time, but it’s obvious that more time has passed since that incident. Bodyslam.net reported in December that Riddle had been suspended for failing a drug test and would be entering treatment.

On the most recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer gave the most recent update.

“Riddle has not been back. He’s been out of rehab for a long time, his suspension has been over for almost a month now, four weeks. So It may be that they’ve just decided not to use him for Mania and not do anything with him, or maybe they just don’t want to invest in him.

I presume he’ll be back, but when he left they made a point of he was gonna be gone for six weeks, and we’re at about 11 or 12 weeks.”
