Mercedes Monè’s STARDOM / NJPW run could possibly be a short lived one.

Mercedes Monè the former Sasha Banks made her NJPW debut at the start of this year when she appeared at WrestleKingdom in the Tokyo Dome to challenge KAIRI for the IWGP Womens Championship. KAIRI would of course accept the challenge, which lead to Monè’s NJPW In-Ring debut at Battle In The Valley last month where she indeed won the IWGP Womens Championship.

Since then, it has been revealed that Mercedes Monè will be making her first defence of the IWGP title vs AZM on the NJPW Sakura Genesis Card at the start of April. She is also reportedly booked for her STARDOM debut on the STARDOM All-Star Grand Queendom show on April 23. However, according to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, as of right now, she apparently does not have any more appearances booked for Bushiroad (STARDOM & NJPW).

“As of right now, Mercedes Mone has no dates left with Bushiroad after the 4/23 Yokohama Arena show.”

– Dave Meltzer

Of course it could soon be revealed soon that she is working more dates, hopefully that is the case too as there is a long list of talent from STARDOM many would love to see her wrestle.
