Mia Yim returned to the ring for the first time since her WWE release last weekend in a winning effort against Athena (fka Ember Moon) at Wrestlecon 2022 in Dallas during Wrestlemania weekend.
Mia Yim has said she’d been dealing with self doubt before her her return to the ring. Her last wrestling match came against Nikki Cross in a slowing effort on an episode of Main Event on December 28, 2020.
Mia Yim recently opened up on Instagram that she almost canceled her match against Athena due to self doubt in her ability but felt all the love from her friends and fans for helping reigniting that fire in her.
I strongly recommend everyone check out her match against Athena as a a reminder of how good she is in the ring. We here at WrestlePurists are happy to see Mia Yim back in a wrestling ring doing what she does best and can’t wait to see what’s next for her in 2022.
