Mick Foley Reportedly Believed To Be Planning In-Ring Return With AEW

Mick Foley could be set to get back into the ring for All Elite Wrestling.
WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley made his first appearance for All Elite Wrestling at AEW Double or Nothing on May 20 as co-host of the show’s buy-in. During the broadcast, Tony Khan announced that Foley was officially ‘All Elite’, and it appears the company may have plans for him beyond a broadcasting role.
With Mick Foley having previously indicated that he is open to stepping back into the ring, WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select is now reporting that sources within All Elite Wrestling believe Foley has made up his mind about returning to in-ring action for the company, with Tony Khan reportedly keen to make it happen.
“Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select has spoken to AEW sources that believe Foley had his mind made up that he would wrestle once more, and that it will be in AEW. It is believed that if he got cleared, Tony Khan would be eager to book the match.”

The report additionally notes that MJF had pushed to work a program with Mick Foley prior to All Elite Wrestling officially launching on television. The AEW Double or Nothing buy-in concluded with Foley receiving a low blow from MJF before Darby Allin made the save ahead of their main event clash for the AEW World Championship.
Mick Foley recently claimed that he feels WWE has lost some of its magic due to operating under corporate ownership. You can read more about that here.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the possibility of Mick Foley stepping into an AEW ring in the future as soon as we hear more.
