Mick Foley has opened up about the key differences between AEW and WWE.

Coming in at Double Or Nothing, Mick Foley has done numerous backstage segments and interviews with the talent since joining All Elite Wrestling. The legend has been keen to stress his admiration for both the AEW roster and the way the company operates. Now, Foley has commended the enthusiasm he sees backstage at their shows.

Speaking to The Sportster, Mick Foley discussed how Tony Khan’s enthusiasm contrasts to WWE’s corporate feel.

“I started seeing the enthusiasm of AEW, and I was contrasting it with kind of the more corporate feel that WWE took on. And I just thought I like one of these things a little better than the other. Since I have begun working with AEW, I have to tell you, there’s something really refreshing about seeing the owner of the company so obviously happy after matches. So obviously thankful for how hard people work for him. I’m not saying that Vince McMahon’s management style didn’t work because it did. It’s just that at my age, there’s something really nice about seeing an owner who is really happy to watch his product and to watch the people excel inside of it.”

This isn’t the first time Foley has expressed this view. In fact, shortly after joining AEW, the star said his former employers had lost its magic, saying their corporate ownership had taken away from its past feeling. You can read more about his previous comments here.

Plus, regardless of company, many stars have proven that a change of scenery can be a major positive in the modern era. One such talent who has found a new lease of life after crossing from WWE to AEW is Tommaso Ciampa, who recently reflected on his first six months in the promotion. You can read more about that here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Mick Foley as soon as we hear more.
