Throughout 2022, former TNT Champion Miro has competed in only four matches for AEW, with his most recent appearance coming at the All Out PPV in early September, where he teamed with Darby Allin and Sting to take on the House of Black. As a result, many fans have been left wondering whether the man formerly known as Rusev in WWE is currently dealing with an injury that’s keeping him off of television, however according to a new report from Fightful Select, this doesn’t seem to be the case.

Fightful Select are now reporting that Miro’s AEW absence hasn’t been due to any injury or health issues, and is simply down to a lack of creative presented for him.

“After inquiring with All Elite Wrestling sources, it was reiterated to us that Miro is and has been completely healthy, and wanting to actively compete. However, we’re told that creative simply hasn’t been presented for him.”

During the summer, it appeared as though Miro was back to being figured in creatively, as he featured in two matches on television leading up to his All Atlantic Championship fatal four-way at Forbidden Door, although unfortunately that spell of appearances came to an end rather quickly.

Fightful then noted that there were plans to have conversations discussing Miro’s creative, however these are yet to take place at the time of writing. Those that spoke to Fightful believe that Miro is eager to return to the ring, so hopefully it’ll only be a matter of time before the company find a spot for him across Dynamite and Rampage.
