A return date for MJF is still unclear.

MJF has been absent from All Elite Wrestling since dropping the AEW World Championship to Samoa Joe at Worlds End on December 30th last year, with injuries currently keeping him on the sidelines. During his absence, fans have questioned MJF’s status with the company as many have pointed out that he’s no longer listed on AEW’s roster page.

Despite this, PWInsider are now reporting that MJF is believed to still be with the company, although he remains on the road to recovery from his multiple injuries. Additionally, the report notes that MJF met with AEW officials the day after Big Business on March 13th, although he has not had a backstage presence since being written off TV at the end of last year.

“While he was not in attendance at AEW Big Business in Boston a few weeks back, PWInsider.com has confirmed that the day after that event, MJF was in Boston to meet with AEW officials. MJF has not been backstage at any AEW events since exiting storylines.”

Regarding a time frame for his recovery, PWInsider added that, as of writing, there is no word on when the former AEW World Champion will return to the ring.

MJF was written off AEW programming after his match with Samoa Joe at Worlds End on December 30th, with his tag team partner and best friend Adam Cole turning heel and attacking the former champion alongside Roderick Strong, The Kingdom, & Wardlow, revealing himself to be ‘The Devil’ in the process as they formed The Undisputed Kingdom.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on future plans for MJF as soon as we hear more, and we wish him all the best in his recovery.
