More AEW Talent Reportedly Expected To Head To Japan Soon

More crossovers between AEW and NJPW could be on the way.
Earlier this week, at the King of Pro Wrestling event, multiple All Elite Wrestling stars made their intentions known about going after key New Japan Pro Wrestling talent. Most notably, Kenny Omega will feature Oleg Boltin and Yota Tsuji for a chance to go after the IWGP Heavyweight Title in future, while the situation between Will Ospreay and Callum Newman is reaching boiling point. Add to that, MJF is going after Ryohei Oiwa, and there are rumors about Copeland being at the Tokyo Dome next year to help cap off his retirement run. Plus, it now seems more crossovers could be coming soon.
According to a new report from Fightful Select, it’s believed more AEW wrestlers are planned for spots in Japan soon.

Should this evolve even further, WrestleKingdom 21 could shape up into a true battle of promotions, which NJPW has done in the past with WWF and WCW. This could also improve the relationship between the two brands, as AEW looks to lend so many of its big talents to New Japan for its biggest show of the year to reflect an even partnership.
As for who else will show up, it’s hard to say. Mercedes Moné recently took to social media to said tease attacking someone in STARDOM, while Athena has already had matchups against Stardom talent in the past, including at the Wrestle Dynasty event last year. Also, many were hoping to see Copeland & Christian Cage fight the Knockout Brothers, but that might not happen now due to Cage’s injuries sustained at All Out.
