Samoa Joe Says Timeframe For Retirement Isn’t Nailed Down, Wants To Leave Good Memories

Samoa Joe is thinking about retirement, but he wants to make more good memories first.
Due to the sudden retirement announcement of Adam Copeland, in which he noted that 2027 will be his last year in wrestling, the thought of other “elder statesmen” in the business retiring has been on many fans’ minds. One such person to be wondered about is Samoa Joe, who has been in the business for decades and is still going strong in AEW. Now, “The Samoan Submission Machine” given his current thoughts on retirement.
In a chat with SHAK Wrestling, he noted that while he’s thinking about retirement, he has things he wants to do before hanging up the towel and shorts.
“What my time frame is is kind of still not quite nailed down, but I will say this: I want to leave as many good memories as I can while I have the opportunity, and I think that’s just kind of the best way to approach things right now.”

Many online would agree that Joe still has more to give, as he’s still delivering at a high level as part of All Elite Wrestling. This year, he had a memorable clash with Will Ospreay at Double Or Nothing, while, as leader of The Opps, he’s currently locked into a feud with Jack Perry.
Plus, he’s still in the hunt for titles, as proven by how he earned his way into the Clockwork Carnage match at WrestleDream. Where Joe goes after the pay-per-view is still up in the air, but it’s clear the two-time former AEW World Champion be sticking around for as long as he can.
