Not many details have been made public regarding AEW’s upcoming video game. But now there has been some updates, courtesy of Fightful Select.
Fightful Select have reported that the game will in fact have a story mode, which is being worked on to “include input from wrestlers themselves”
The post stated that multiple members of the Yuke’s team that helped create Smackdown vs. RAW games in the past, are part of process. Yuke’s are reportedly set to be a developer, but so far no publisher has been announced. When that happens we will likely also find out more info such as a release date etc.
Kenny Omega is also said to be very determined for the game to be a success:
Multiple people that we’ve spoken to said Kenny Omega specifically has said multiple times he’s determined for it to be a success and understands how integral a great showing could be.

There was also a note made about Thunder Rosa already being shown her prototype for the game, and that Mikey Ruckus told Fightful there was a soft deadline for some of the music for the story mode the week before AEW Revolution.
