Another update on the situation in AEW following the confrontation between CM Punk and The Elite after Punk’s comments at the AEW All Out Post Show Media Scrum.

CM Punk after defeating Jon Moxley and becoming AEW World Champion for the second time, was the first person to speak at the Media Scrum and it immediately became the biggest talking point of a very eventful weekend. CM Punk addressed rumours and reports surrounding himself and Colt Cabana, which ended up with him taking verbal shots at Colt Cabana, the EVPs & Hangman Adam Page.

After Punk’s fired up comments at the media scrum, he was reportedly confronted in his locker room by the Young Bucks & Kenny Omega, leading to a fight breaking out which involved, Punk, the Bucks, Omega, and Ace Steel. With Brandon Cutler, Christopher Daniels & Pat Buck attempting to diffuse the situation.

In the hours following the events post AEW All Out, there’s of course been a lot of talk about what will happen going forwards, who will be punished, and how severely etc.

In an update from Dave Meltzer, he has provided some info on the latest he has learned regarding the huge issue within AEW.

“there are suspensions stemming from the Sunday fight that was a result of Punk’s post-All Out press conference comments where he called out “the EVPs” of AEW in addition to Hangman Page, Colt Cabana and MJF with inflammatory language.

Steel and Pat Buck will not be at Wednesday’s Dynamite, but it’s unconfirmed if they are officially suspended. Meltzer said he also believes the others involved in the fight will also not be brought to Buffalo.”

Meltzer also made note of how this situation will force some changes to Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

Changes have been made to Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite. Dave Meltzer is reporting that two of those changes include former AEW World Champions Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley both appearing on Wednesday’s Buffalo, New York, debut. Neither were originally scheduled to appear and it’s unknown if they will be wrestling or simply doing promos.
