NXT UK has seemingly came to somewhat of a halt.

It was recently reported by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the upcoming NXT UK tapings had been cancelled due to BT Sport using the studio NXT UK used for tapings so BT can create content for the new Football Season. It was also said that nobody knew what was going on as the tapings had not been rearranged.

A report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider addressed rumors of the current situation in NXT UK.

According to Johnson there are no remaining television tapings for NXT UK scheduled for the near future.

“For those who have asked about rumors the NXT UK brand is shuttering, all we can confirm is that currently, there are no TV tapings for that brand scheduled in Great Britain. As we have reported, a number of UK talents including Gallus and Charlie Dempsey are slated to be in Florida later this month. It’s entirely possible WWE will be taping content for the NXT UK TV series in Orlando.”

Recently, rumor has emerged of talent perhaps being cautiously aware of the situation backstage. Charlie Dempsey and Gallus are however set to be in Orlando later this month.

WWE might have future programming in mind to film in Orlando, but at this time nothing has been set in stone for NXT UK.
