Ric Flair Recalls Recent Talk With Vince McMahon Ahead Of His Final Match

On July 31st, Ric Flair will team up with his son-in-law Andrade el Idolo to take on the team of Jay Lethal and WWE Senior Vice President of Live Events Jeff Jarrett in what is being advertised as the Nature Boy’s last match.

During the build up to the event, fans recently noticed that Flair’s signature “Woo” returned to WWE’s intro video that plays at the start of every show, indicating that the company appear to be back on good terms with the Hall of Famer.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Flair revealed that he recently visited Vince McMahon in Tampa, Florida, where the former Chairman and CEO told Flair that he was being re-added to the intro video.

“I went and saw Vince yesterday to personally thank him. Everything Vince McMahon has ever said to me my entire life has come true, he said, ‘I’m gonna put you back on,’ and he did.”

Flair had been removed from the signature following the re-emergance of allegations against hin due to am episode of Dark Side of the Ring focusing on the ‘Plane Ride From Hell’.

Following WWE adding him back to their opening sequence, Flair tweeted the following.

The Ric Flair Last Match event will take place on July 31st, and will feature talent from WWE, AEW, IMPACT, NJPW, AAA, ROH, and MLW.
