Ric Flair’s Last Match has been a huge talking point in the wrestling world.
As a part of SummerSlam weekend, an event was put together to showcase Ric Flair’s Last Match. The Nature Boy featured in a tag team match alongside his son-in-law Andrade El Idolo to battle Jeff Jarrett & Jay Lethal. The event itself had a solid undercard. It featured personel from many different companies including WWE, AEW, Impact and New Japan.
Now, it has been revealed by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer that the event welcomed 6,800 fans which resulted in a live gate revenue of $448,502. The show got between 20,000 and 25,000 buys via streaming services and nearly 4,200 more through linear PPV buys.
This puts the show second in the list of the biggest independent wrestling shows. All In remains top of the list at a late gate revenue of $458,525 which is only around $10,000 more than the Ric Flair special. The show was a roaring financial success which is a credit to all involved.
