After leaving All Elite Wrestling on February 10, 2025, Ricky Starks debuted for WWE as part of the NXT brand just one day later before later adopting the ring name Ricky Saints.

During an appearance on The Happy Hour, Ricky Saints was asked about the first difference he noticed between WWE and AEW. While he said the two promotions are largely similar, he praised WWE’s meticulous planning for its talent as a major positive.

“Everyone loves to ask this question, and I feel so bad because sometimes I go, ‘Eh, nothing really. It’s kind of all the same.’ But if I had to give you a for sure, I think the whole process of how your day starts off. It’s laid out for you in the sense of, ‘Here’s your media. Here’s where you’re gonna be at this time. Here’s what you’re gonna do at this hour, and then you’ll go to the venue and wrestle.’ So when it comes to that, it’s nicer to have things planned out for me. It’s almost down to the full details.”

Saints’ time in NXT saw him capture both the NXT Championship and the NXT North American Championship, adding to the FTW Championship and AEW World Tag Team Championship reigns he enjoyed during his time in All Elite Wrestling.

Earlier this year, Saints officially made the move to Friday Night SmackDown and has recently set his sights firmly on Trick Williams and the WWE United States Championship.
