STARDOM and CMLL wrestlers are likely to feature at Forbidden Door 2024.

Starting in 2022, AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door has quickly become a staple of the professional wrestling calendar. For the first two iterations, the event has posed the best of All Elite Wrestling against their New Japan counterparts, but, given the partnerships that have developed over the last 12 months, many are wondering whether this year’s will see the inclusion of other promotions too, and this is something which has been discussed by an AEW Vice President.

Speaking with Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp Rocky Romero has said that talent from STARDOM will ‘definitely’ be involved with Forbidden Door, while CMLL performers are considered likely.

“Romero told Fightful that STARDOM will “definitely” be a part of this year’s Forbidden Door, and said that CMLL “very likely” will. He followed up and says after that, the sky is the limit.”

In terms of who may appear, it’s likely that the companies will look to pay off Mina Shirakawa’s interactions with Toni Storm and Mariah May on AEW programming as of late, as well as playing off the Blackpool Combat Club’s previous with members of the CMLL roster from earlier this year.

2024’s Forbidden Door event is set to take place from the UBS Arena in Long Island, and, with the show less than two months away, it shouldn’t be long before we start to see the card take shape.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Forbidden Door 2024 as soon as we hear more.
