This past Saturday, Ring of Honor presented their second ever pay-per view of the Tony Khan era, as Death Before Dishonor came to the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts. The card featured a number of highly anticipated bouts, including the long-awaited rematch between FTR and The Briscoes for the ROH Tag Team Championships, and a World Title bout between Jonathan Gresham and Claudio Castagnoli.

The show was, unsurprisingly given the talent involved, a roaring success, and Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has now revealed the shows viewership figures, with the event seeing a significant increase in PPV buys from their last outing earlier this year.

“It looks to have done about 36,100 buys, consisting of 27,000 digital and 9,100 from television. The first show did about 15,500 and 3,700 respectively, so numbers were nearly double streaming and cable buys were up 132 percent (well over double) and satellite buys were up 178 percent (nearly triple).”

This is undoubtably a huge success for ROH and a promising sign for the future as Tony Khan continues to explore streaming opportunities for the promotion, with fans hopeful that a weekly Ring of Honor show isn’t too far away from becoming a reality once again.
