Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar are once again set to do battle at the upcoming SummerSlam show this Saturday for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, with the pair this time meeting in a Last Man Standing match.

The two have a long and storied history with eachother in WWE, with their most recent meeting coming at Wrestlemania 38 earlier this year, with Roman Reigns defeating The Beast to unify the WWE Universal and WWE Championships. The two powerhouses first locked horns in the main event of Wrestlemania 31 in 2015, and their upcoming clash is set to be their seventh meeting inside the squared circle.

SummerSlam is currently being billed as the final showdown between the pair, and during a recent interview with TODAY, Roman Reigns revealed that he hopes that that is the case.

“I hope it’s the last time. It hurts. It’s brutal being in the ring with Brock. He’s a big ol’ country boy and has such a great, legitimate background. He started as an amateur wrestler, all the way through the collegiate ranks, into the UFC, heavyweight champion. He’s dominated WWE for a long time. The only problem he has is Roman Reigns showed up and took over. It’s going to be great,”

Roman then commented on how he’s feeling heading into the Biggest Party of the Summer, noting that he’s excited to dominate Brock Lesnar.

“I feel great. I’m on a course now to do something that no one has ever done, dominate Brock Lesnar. We’re really entering that kind of timeframe in my career where I’m really pushing myself to a different level and trying to achieve things that have never been done before. Anytime you can beat Brock Lesnar three times in a row, that’s pretty good. That’s a feather in the cap.”

The pair are undoubtably two of the greatest WWE Superstars of their era, and their potential final ever match together is sure to be one you’re not going to want to miss. The threat of Theory still looms in the background however, as Mr MITB has made it clear of his intention to cash in at SummerSlam, regardless of who emerges with the victory.
