Following the conclusion of the WWE Royal Rumble event, Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns’ plans are now reportedly set.

Roman Reigns defeated Kevin Owens to retain the WWE Universal Championship in the main event of the Royal Rumble. After the match, Kevin Owens was being beaten down by the Bloodline. Finally, Sami Zayn was handed a chair by Reigns, who then commanded him to join in.

When Zayn finally turned on Reigns and the Bloodline & hit Reigns with the chair, Zayn was brutally attacked by Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa, and Reigns as Jey Uso left the scene conflicted.

Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn is “as confirmed as it can be” for Elimination Chamber, according to the most recent Wrestling Observer Daily Update by Dave Meltzer

“Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn is now as confirmed as it can be for the 2/18 Elimination Chamber show main event in Montreal. I’m not sure what the men’s chamber match would be for since you’ve got Cody Rhodes already for the main event at WrestleMania. Of course this is WWE and everything is subject to change, but major changes to planned PPV shows have been less with Paul Levesque in charge.

– Dave Meltzer

Since Elimination Chamber is broadcast live from the Bell Centre in Quebec, Canada, the match was already being speculated to take place at the February 18 event.

The American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes winning the 2023 Royal Rumble match to earn a title opportunity at WrestleMania 39 means he will almost certainly be facing the winner of this bout.
