The former NXT Champion will be pulling double duty.

This past Saturday’s Royal Rumble event saw former NXT Champion Bron Breakker make his main roster debut as he eliminated Jey Uso, Ivar, Finn Balor, and a returning Omos in an impressive five minute showing in the Men’s Royal Rumble before being eliminated by Dominik Mysterio.

Appearing on the Battleground Podcast, Shawn Michaels revealed that Breakker is far from done in NXT as he’s not planning to let him go that easy, although he then added that Bron is more than capable of working both main roster WWE and the developmental brand.

“Well look, he may feel like that’s his home but he’s still got work here in NXT to do whether he likes it or not (he laughed). I’ll tell you this much… Strangely enough, that’s our job, right? Our job is to lose talent. But, I gotta tell you, he’s one that I’m gonna have trouble letting him go so look, I can assure you that there is more left for Bron Breakker here in NXT one way or another and so, he’s an incredibly talented, very gifted young man. Far as I’m concerned, he’s young and as we say, full of piss and vinegar so, if he wants to double-time it, he can certainly do it but I’m not letting him go that easy.”

During last night’s episode of RAW, a video package was aired promoting Breakker, and later in the show, Nick Aldis teased that he may be heading to SmackDown. Additionally, Breakker and Baron Corbin are set to compete in the finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic at this weekend’s NXT Vengeance Day, with their opponents set to be decided tonight.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the future of Bron Breakker as soon as we hear more.
