AEW working with Stardom may become a reality in the very near future.

It was recently announced that AEW and NJPW would be collaborating together for the Forbidden Door PPV show in June, causing much excitement for the fans of both promotions.

New Japan Pro Wrestling is owned by Bushiroad, a company that also owns Joshi Promotion, Stardom. Of course, this leads to fans starting to speculate whether or not we will see AEW collab with Stardom in the future too.

In an update from Dave Meltzer on Sunday Night’s Main Event, Meltzer noted that he knows for a fact that Stardom are interested in working with AEW:

“As of a week ago there was no talk whatsoever. I know for a fact that Stardom is interested in working with AEW.”

“Stardom’s got their own big shows when they run Sumo Hall. I know Stardom would love to have Britt Baker, Thunder Rosa, those people on there [at the] Sumo Hall show at the end of the year. I don’t see anything on June 26th and really there shouldn’t be because then you start diluting things. There’s already between New Japan and AEW men, there’s way too many people to put on one show. You really almost need three because you’re gonna have people left off or all these six and eight man tags to get everyone on the show.”

Meltzer would also go on to say that he believes that AEW would also be interested in working with NJPW’s sister company

“I know Stardom would be interested and I would think AEW would be interested at some point.”
