The chances of seeing Stone Cold Steve Austin wrestle at this years WrestleMania are seemingly getting thinner and thinner.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, Stone Cold Steve Austin has decided not to wrestle at WrestleMania 39 after being offered matches with Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns.

Austin may still be involved in some capacity at Wrestlemania though as thats always possible.

As far as Austin goes, Steve might be at the show. I wouldn’t be surprised at all. He might do something on the show but he did in fact turn down wrestling at the show. He was offered Lesnar, he was offered Roman Reigns. He could have named his opponent if he wanted to do it with anybody else but he did not choose to wrestle on the show,”

– Dave Meltzer

In a spontaneous No Holds Barred Match, The Texas Rattlesnake defeated Kevin Owens at last years WrestleMania 38 after coming out of retirement.

While it appears that any recent training isn’t for an in-ring return, WWE had hoped Austin to make a comeback at WrestleMania 39 and Stone Cold appeared to be in the greatest shape in years.
