An update has emerged from Fightful Select on the contract status of Queen Aminata.

The women took a prominent role on the first Dynamite of 2024, as Mariah May’s in-ring debut was thwarted by the newly arrived, Deonna Purrazzo, but not before Mariah would have a match with Queen Aminata that impressed not only fans, but decision makers in AEW as well.

Fightful Select reported that some talent are under the impression that Queen Aminata has been signed to AEW, although it isn’t clear if it’s a full-time contract or a per-appearance deal.

Queen Aminata’s time spent in AEW dates back nearly three years when she would make numerous appearances on AEW Dark and Dark Elevation. She would also make her Rampage debut in a losing effort against Hikaru Shida.

Aminata proceeded to work various independents and AEW dates until an unfortunate injury in February of last year took her out of action until December. Queen Aminata would summarily make her return to face Skye Blue on an episode of Rampage.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the status of Queen Aminata as soon as we hear more.
