The WWE Hall of Famer is set to be in the area for the premium live event.
On August 5th in Detroit, Michigan, Ford Field will play host to WWE’s SummerSlam event, with the show returning to its traditional August slot after last year’s show in July. With the show just over two weeks away, an interesting name is now reportedly set to be in Detroit that weekend.
PWInsider are now reporting that The Undertaker is slated to be in Detroit during SummerSlam weekend. Interestingly, PWInsider also pointed out that the 58-year-old isn’t currently planned to perform his One Deadman Show that weekend, and thus it’s unclear as to whether he’ll play a part in the premium live event itself.
“The Undertaker is slated to be in Detroit for Summerslam weekend, PWInsider.com has confirmed. Of note, the WWE Hall of Famer is not slated to perform his One Deadman Show in Detroit the weekend of 8/4.”

The report additionally notes that the company are set to hold a tryout camp whilst in Detroit, and it’s also likely that content will be filmed for the WWE Network, thus potentially explaining The Undertaker’s presence.
Thus far, just two matches have been officially confirmed for SummerSlam, with Seth Rollins set to defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Finn Balor in a Money in the Bank rematch, whilst Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar are set to complete their trilogy in singles action.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on The Undertaker’s potential involvement in SummerSlam as soon as we hear more.
