Three short weeks ago, Tony Khan appeared backstage on Dynamite to reveal that AEW will be making their UK debut on August 27. Many were surprised to hear the company’s intentions to run Wembley Stadium over the summer, given that the announced All In show is set to be the first wrestling event to be held at the historic venue since SummerSlam 1992. However, if online buzz is anything to go by, many fans will be clamouring to get their hands on a ticket for the Wembley spectacle.
The pre-sale for the event will take place on May 2, with the general sale happening three days later. Fans had until yesterday to register for a unique code that allows them into the pre-sale and, as Dave Meltzer writes in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, over 60,000 codes have started to roll out due to monstrous interest in the show.
“There is not a lot new regarding the AEW show at Wembley Stadium. They cut off giving out presale codes on 4/27, and the number was more than 60,000.”
