Thunder Rosa Confirms Busted Open Exit After WWE Radio Announcement
Thunder Rosa is no longer set to appear on Busted Open Radio moving forward.
On Thursday, July 23, WWE and SiriusXM announced the launch of WWE Radio, with the channel set to replace Pro Wrestling Nation 24/7. The announcement quickly led to speculation about former AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa WWE’s status with Busted Open, with both Fightful Select and Dave Meltzer reporting that the belief is that she will no longer be appearing on Busted Open Radio.
It appears those reports were accurate, as Thunder Rosa has now confirmed on X that she will no longer be appearing on Busted Open Radio.

Launching on July 27, WWE Radio will provide live audio play-by-play coverage of the company’s premium live events and weekly programming. Vic Joseph and Booker T will call the action for SiriusXM listeners throughout SummerSlam weekend.
Programmes such as Busted Open, Cheap Heat Live, Notsam Wrestling Live, The Hart Beat, Off The Ropes, and Busted Open After Dark will remain part of the channel’s schedule. WWE-produced podcasts, including What Do You Wanna Talk About? and Six Feet Under, will also be available on the station.
While some members of the Busted Open Radio team have occasionally been accused by AEW fans of being overly critical of the promotion, WWE’s acquisition of the show, coupled with Thunder Rosa’s absence, is unlikely to do much to ease those concerns over its impartiality.
Elsewhere, in relation to both WWE and AEW, it has been speculated that WWE’s recent announcements regarding NXT and AAA events in New York were intended to prevent AEW from running a show there over WrestleMania weekend. You can read more about that here.
