Tiffany Stratton Says Being Left Off WrestleMania 42 Has Put A Chip On Her Shoulder For Next Year

Last weekend, WWE headed to Las Vegas for WrestleMania 42. However, while two new world champions were crowned in the women’s division, there were some incredibly notable absences from the card, not least being SmackDown’s Tiffany Stratton. Twelve months on from walking into WrestleMania as Women’s Champion, the 26-year-old has given her thoughts on being left off the ‘Show Of Shows’ this year.
Speaking to Joey Karni, Stratton said missing WrestleMania 42 has left her with a chip on her shoulder.
“I feel like my mindset has always been just kind of controlling what I can control. Which is making the most out of all my segments, making the most out of my matches, making sure I’m delivering on everything, and having really good matches with everybody. Unfortunately, being on WrestleMania wasn’t in the cards for me this year. However, that just kind of leaves me with a chip on my shoulder for next year, and I’m gonna do everything in my power to never let that happen ever again.”

Immediately looking to bounce back, Stratton wasted no time in picking up gold on last night’s SmackDown. To begin the show, the star came out on top against Giulia to win the Women’s United States Championship, marking her first title losing the WWE Women’s Championship to Jade Cargill back in November.
Last year, Stratton faced 15-time world champion Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 41. In the build up, both women traded personal digs which blurred the lines between storylines and reality, including a segment which saw ‘The Queen’ reference Stratton’s then boyfriend Ludwig Kaiser.
On this, ‘The Nature Boy’ revealed he wasn’t invited to WrestleMania 42 after threatening Kaiser last year. You can read more about his comments here.
