Tony Schiavone: PAC Told Me Being In Arena México Was The Greatest Experience Of His Career

PAC says competing in Arena México is one of the highlights of his career.
AEW recently made its return to Arena México in Mexico City, where AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam Mexico delivered plenty of high-octane action. The show featured an AEW International Championship match between Kyle Fletcher and Speedball Bailey, as well as a Mexico City Street Fight main event between Mark Davis and Will Ospreay.
During the latest episode of What Happened When with Tony Schiavone, Schiavone recalled speaking with PAC about his time wrestling in Arena México years ago. PAC responded by calling the experience one of the greatest pro wrestling experiences he has had in his career.
“I remember a couple of years back when we were talking about going to Arena México and I was talking to PAC. PAC had been in Arena México and I said, ‘Did you enjoy it?’ He says, ‘I’m gonna be honest with you. It’s the greatest experience of my wrestling career.’”

PAC also had plenty to celebrate during his time in Mexico, with the Death Riders defeating AEW Tag Team Champions Cope & Cage and The Young Bucks in the same night. He also spent the week trolling the Mexican fans, most notably by rocking an England football jersey.
Despite the trolling, however, Team International, which featured PAC, Claudio Castagnoli, NJPW’s DOUKI, and several others, ultimately came up short in CMLL’s Grand Prix Internacional 2026 Torneo Cibernético on August 7, with Hechicero scoring the decisive victory.
Elsewhere, Adam Copeland recently reflected on the reaction he received from the Arena México crowd, comparing it to the reception he received during his iconic Royal Rumble return. You can read more about that here.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on future plans for PAC as soon as we hear more.
