Trick Williams Reflects On NXT Stand And Deliver Match With Oba Femi And Je’Von Evans

Trick Williams reflects on his triple threat match with Je’Von Evans and Oba Femi.
At NXT Stand & Deliver 2025, Oba Femi put his NXT Championship on the line against Trick Williams and Je’Von Evans. The trio were at the forefront of their era of the developmental brand, and their clash last April gave fans a glimpse into what WWE’s main event scene could look like in the near future. Now, Williams has reflected on the triple threat match he shared with two of the top wrestlers of his generation.
Speaking with Stephanie McMahon on What’s Your Story?, Williams discussed the relationship he has with Oba and Je’Von, noting the competitive spirit between them.
“Myself, Oba, Je’Von, we all worked Stand & Deliver last year. And I remember everybody said, ‘I’m going crazy. They’re gonna remember our match.’ And that’s exactly what we did last year. Those are two guys, and myself included, who want to be the top of the business. We all competing, you know what I mean? All three of us, we all want that number one spot. But it’s healthy. They’re my boys. ‘You went viral this week? I’m going viral, too. I’m going viral this week.’ Every week, we’re at it. Level up. And I think we’re pushing each other. I’m glad to be with them boys because they want it.”

At WrestleMania 42 almost two weeks ago, Williams, Femi, and Evans all featured in high-profile matches. Coming on the second night of WWE’s biggest show of the year, Je’Von was showcased in the Intercontinental Championship ladder match while Trick won the United States Title against Sami Zayn. However, perhaps the biggest result of all was Oba’s quick victory over Brock Lesnar which may have sent ‘The Beast Incarnate’ into retirement.
Touching on the connection between all three men, Trick Williams recently revealed that ‘The Ruler’ Oba Femi will be a groomsman at his upcoming wedding. You can read more about that here.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Trick Williams as soon as we hear more.
