Uhaa Nation Set to Return to Dragongate

Uhaa Nation is heading back to Dragongate.

Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Uhaa Nation is set to return to Dragongate on September 12 at the promotion’s upcoming Tokyo Infinity Heptopascal event.

During Dragongate’s Korakuen Hall show on Tuesday, the promotion aired a video in which Uhaa Nation announced his return. In the video, Nation said:

“In case you forgot who I am, my name is Uhaa Nation. And I’m here to tell you, I got some very, very special news. After 11 long years, Uhaa Nation finally returns to the place that it all began. And I’m so excited to see all my Dragon Gate family, and all my Dragon Gate fans! See you then!”

Nation previously wrestled for Dragongate from 2011 to 2015, where he competed in a combined 198 matches as a member of several factions, including Blood Warriors, MAD BLANKEY, and Monster Express. During his time with the promotion, he established himself as one of its standout foreign stars.

Among the biggest moments of his Dragongate run were winning the Open the Twin Gate Championship alongside BxB Hulk in 2013, as well as his acclaimed Open the Dream Gate Championship challenges against Ricochet in 2014 and BxB Hulk in 2015.

It’s unclear at this point how long Uhaa Nation’s return to Dragongate will last, or even how he’ll be utilised at the promotion’s September event. The 38-year-old recently signed with TNA Wrestling and made his debut for the company at Slammiversary in June, where he challenged for the TNA International Championship.

Beyond his time in Japan, many fans will best remember Uhaa Nation for his run in WWE as Apollo Crews, where he competed from 2015 until his release in April earlier this year.
