Jeff Hardy was pulled from an upcoming match on AEW Dynamite, that would have seen the Hardys teaming up with Jurassic Express and Christian Cage to take on Adam Cole, the Young Bucks and reDRagon. Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio provided some insight on what the reason could possibly be.

Jeff Hardy, despite the years of wear and tear he is body has been through, has started life in AEW at a hundred miles an hour. In the Owen Hart Tournament, the Charismatic Enigma took on Darby Allin in an anything-goes match that saw both men take some scary bumps.

Dave Meltzer noted that the former WWE Champion was a mess going into the tag team clash at Double or Nothing, further stating that he was “beat up”.

“Jeff (Hardy) was a mess going into the match. From what I was told, it was really the Darby Allin match. He’s beat up.”

The Hardys overcame the Young Bucks at Sunday’s pay-per-view in a very good match. However, it was evident that Jeff was in some discomfort, with the other three men carrying a majority of the match. The match on AEW Dynamite has been changed to an 8-man clash, with Adam Cole being removed from the other side.
