This Wednesday’s edition of AEW Dynamite saw a number of potential bouts for the upcoming Forbidden Door PPV teased in some capacity, with appearances from the United Empire, as well as Hangman Adam Page declaring his intent to challenge for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has now provided an update on some of the matches that may be in store for June 26th at the United Center, with the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship bout reportedly being a three-way between the then-champion, Adam Page, and Adam Cole.

Meltzer also discussed the potential for an IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship bout between FTR and Jeff Cobb & Great O-Khan, although that match being for the gold is reliant on the UE members defeating current champions Chase Owens and Bad Luck Fale at Dominion.

“For Forbidden Door, the AEW title match will headline. There will also be an IWGP title match The Kazuchika Okada vs. Jay White winner looks to be defending in a three-way with Adam Page and Adam Cole. Jeff Cobb & Great O’Khan aren’t IWGP tag champions, but FTR has said they want those titles and Cobb & O’Khan are going for champions Bad Luck Fale & Chase Owens on 6/12. Obviously Will Ospreay & Aussie Open will fit into the show in some form.”

Will Ospreay, alongside his United Empire stablemates Aussie Open and Aaron Henare made their AEW arrivals on this week’s Dynamite, with a match between Ospreay and Aussie Open against FTR and Trent Beretta set for tonight’s episode of Rampage.

We look forward to hearing more regarding the potential card for Forbidden Door, with excitement building as the level of AEW & NJPW crossover increases.
