Following Vince McMahon’s controversial retirement on July 22, WWE underwent series changes. Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan took up Co-CEO positions while Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque became head of WWE’s creative. Fans had speculated about Triple H taking over creative for years and so far he hasn’t disappointed.
There has been a lot of positive feedback about Levesque’s first few months in charge. His time has been a breath of fresh air for fans as there has been attempts to put more focus on the in-ring action and the midcard titles. So, it’s interesting to look at how the USA Network have viewed WWE under the new regime. Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter wrote:
“The USA Network, which privately had been frustrated with Raw’s ratings in recent years, particularly the period when the annual drop was so high (many years in a row), are thrilled now.”-WON.
This week’s episode of Raw drew 1.824 million viewers which was the show’s highest rating since the September 5 edition following the Clash at the Castle event. Intrigue was high following Bray Wyatt‘s Extreme Rules return and the announcement of DX’s reunion.
