Yesterday saw the Wall Street Journal publish an article revealing that Vince McMahon has taken measures to return to WWE’s Board of Directors, alongside two former board members in order to oversee a sale of the company. The report noted that three current members of WWE’s board would need to be removed to allow the vacancies to be made available, and it now appears as though this has transpired.
via the US Securities and Exchange Commission, three WWE board members have now been removed from their position, effective immediately, with Vince McMahon, along with George Barrios and Michelle Wilson returning to the company.
The three now former board members in question have been named as JoEllen Lyons, Jeffrey R. Speed, and Alan M. Wexler.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on this developing story as soon as we hear more.
