Will Ospreay is reportedly set to compete at AEW: All In taking place at Wembley Stadium.

On the April 5 edition of AEW Dynamite, Tony Khan stood alongside Adam Cole and Nigel McGuinness to announce the company’s UK debut, taking place on August 27th at Wembley Stadium. Despite there currently being no matches announced for the show, over 70,000 tickets have already been sold for the showpiece event.

Of course, AEW have a loaded roster who will all be vying for a spot on the Wembley card, though, many are also speculating over whether we will see any outside talent appear on the card. In terms of who fans are clamouring to see, British-born current IWGP United States Champion Will Ospreay is a name which crops up time and again.

To provide an update on the 30-year-old’s status for All In, Fightful Select have indicated that the latest plan is for Will Ospreay to wrestle on the August 27 show.

“Fightful Select can confirm that IWGP United States Champion Will Ospreay is being planned and is expected to wrestle in his home country of England at AEW All in.”

Many may assume that Wembley will play host to the third match between Ospreay and Kenny Omega, who are currently tied at one win each after matches at both WrestleKingdom and Forbidden Door, however, the Fightful Select article goes on to confirm that this isn’t the case.

In fact, while this isn’t confirmed, the report suggests that Chris Jericho is the most likely opponent for The Aerial Assassin at Wembley, per NJPW sources. On top of this, Don Callis is likely to be involved with the match as he has had his connections to both men in the past.

On recent editions of Dynamite, Callis has been attempted to recruit Jericho into his ‘family’, while fans may remember the manager choosing to support Ospreay as he battled Kenny Omega on June 25’s Forbidden Door. So, should the match come to be, it’s unclear which side he would be on.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Will Ospreay and plans for him at AEW: All In as we hear more.
