On January 23rd, WWE presented Raw is XXX, featuring a number of Hall of Famers making appearances in order to celebrate the 30th anniversary of WWE’s red brand. One WWE legend that was initially reported by PWInsider to be involved on the show was Lita, although the former WWE Women’s Champion ultimately never got involved.
PWInsider are now reporting that Lita is backstage at tonight’s Raw in Orlando, Florida, and thus it’s likely that she’ll be involved onscreen in some capacity.
Tonight’s episode is set to feature Becky Lynch taking on Bayley in a steel cage match, a bout that was originally planned for the Raw is XXX show before being nixed due to time constraints caused by the opening segment overrunning.
As a result, it’s possible that Lita was initially set to be involved in an angle during this match, and therefore is in town tonight in order to move forward with the original plan.
Elsewhere on the show, Carmella, Candice LeRae, Mia Yim, and Piper Niven are set to face off in a fatal four-way match for a place in the upcoming women’s Elimination Chamber match, whilst on the men’s side, Damian Priest will take on Angelo Dawkins, with Montez Ford up against Elias with a place in the United States Championship Elimination Chamber bout up for grabs.
