WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long is likely best known to WWE fans as the former General Manager of Smackdown, however before becoming an authority figure, Long worked as a referee and also led several talents as a manager, including the likes of Doom (Ron Simmons and Butch Reed), The Skyscrapers (Sid Vicious, “Mean” Mark Callous and Butch Reed), 2 Cold Scorpio, Marcus “Buff” Bagwell and many more.

During a recent interview with Riju Dasgupta or Sportskeeda for WrestleBinge, Long was asked which modern-day WWE act he’d like to manage should he ever decide to take up the role again. Having a history of managing tag teams, Long revealed that he’d likely look for another duo to take under his wing, before stating that former multi-time Tag Team Champions The Street Profits would be his first choice.

“I like them, I watch them. You know they are good, they are good in the ring. Their mic skills are good. You know they are a couple of nice guys. I had a chance to meet them. So Street Profits are the guys I’d like to be with.”

Montez Ford, one-half of The Street Profits, delivered an impressive performance in this past Saturday’s United States Championship Elimination Chamber match, with many believed that both Ford and his partner Angelo Dawkins are capable of success as singles stars.

For the time being, however, the two appear set to continue as a duo for the foreseeable future, with Tag Team Championship gold often never too far from their grasp.
