Bayley vs. Lyra Valkyria is reportedly set for a blowoff match unlike what the women’s division are used to.

Since Lyra Valkyria’s heel turn on June 22, the feud between her and Bayley has been a major talking point, not least because many wondered if “The Role Model” was being written off for pastures new. As it happened, though, the former WWE Women’s Champion returned to Monday Night RAW on September 7, picking up where she left off by going after Valkyria. With their feud continuing, it now seems as if they’re headed towards a major blowoff match.

According to WrestleVotes via Fightful Select, it’s believed WWE creative have thought about giving Bayley vs. Lyra Valkyria a match type that would be “rare” for the women’s division.

“In the midst of one of the longest running current feuds on WWE television, a source tells us that as of last week, there was a creative idea for Bayley and Lyra Valkyria to meet in a blowoff stipulation match that would be considered “rare” for women’s division.”

The report makes note that the match, whatever it may be, will serve as the definitive, final offering in their ongoing program. Importantly, WrestleVotes mentions the clash wouldn’t take place inside Hell In A Cell, although there’s currently no indication as to what the proposed stipulation would end up being.

While Bayley is back on WWE TV, and things are progressing as if she’s set to remain with the company, the most recent reports suggest she’s still yet to officially put pen to paper on a contract renewal. You can read more about that here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Bayley vs. Lyra Valkyria as soon as we hear more.
