WWE recently confirmed that Cheif Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon is taking a leave of absence, with no current reason given as to why this decision was made.

Whilst no time frame has been explicitly stated regarding McMahon’s absence, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter are reporting that WWE are looking into hiring a replacement for the role, indicating that it may be a long-term absence.

“The decision was several months in the making. A key aspect of the story is that the company is looking at a replacement as Chief Brand Officer, or for someone who will fulfill her roles, which indicates this is not a short-term thing.”

– Dave Meltzer

The Observer continued, revealing that those close to the situation believe that McMahon will be absent for the foreseeable future.

“One person close to the situation said they can say “for sure” she won’t be back anytime soon”

– Dave Meltzer

As always, we will provide any further updates regarding this developing situation as soon as we hear more.
