With news emerging last night that WWE have officially moved this years Money in the Bank show from the Allegiant Stadium to the MGM Grand Garden Arena, plans for the show itself may have changed.

Reports recently emerged that stated Roman Reigns’ next three premium live event opponents would be Riddle, Randy Orton, and Drew McIntyre, with each bout coming at MITB, Summerslam, and Clash at the Castle respectively.

WWE’s updated poster for MITB following the venue change no longer features Roman Reigns however, with many speculated that Reigns may now be off the show entirely. Additionally, Brock Lesnar had original been advertised for the event, although he too is now absent from any promotional material.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter have now provided an update on the plans for Money in the Bank, with plans for both top stars currently unknown.

“We did get it confirmed that the original plan for Roman Reigns’ summer schedule was Riddle on this show, Randy Orton at SummerSlam and Drew McIntyre in Cardiff, Wales on 9/3. However, everything regarding both Reigns and Brock Lesnar for Money in the Bank is now said to be up in the air.”

Brock Lesnar has been absent from WWE TV since losing his WWE Championship to Reigns in the main event of Wrestlemania 38, and this update seemingly suggests that fans of the Beast may have to wait a little longer before he makes his return.
